This Privacy Policy explains the information that Shabyar (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects about users of the Shabyar mobile application (“Shabyar App”) and websites, how we use that information, and with whom we share it. The “Platform” refers to Shabyar App, websites, software, and related services accessed via any platform or device.

This Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform immediately.

1. Types of Data Collected

  • Personal Data: Information like name, address, ID number, mobile number, email, birthdate, gender, residency status, or photograph.
  • Anonymised Data: Information that cannot be linked to an individual.

2. Information Collected Automatically

  • Mobile device's unique ID number
  • Geographic location while using the Shabyar App
  • Computer's IP address
  • Device type, browser, OS
  • User preferences (timezone, language, privacy settings, etc.)
  • Last visited URL
  • Interactions such as clicked buttons and ads
  • Duration and features used on the Platform
  • Online or offline status

We allow analytics companies to track anonymised data. Shabyar does not share your personal identifiers (name, email, phone).

3. Information You Provide

  • Account registration data
  • Public posts (e.g., emails shared publicly)
  • Optional personal info (e.g., gender, bio, etc.)

You consent to our collection, use, and sharing of this data. You may request deletion by closing your account.

4. Third-Party Websites

Shabyar is not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites or mobile apps linked from our platform.

5. Data Retention

  • Accounts deleted after 2 years of inactivity
  • Data retained up to 12 months post-deletion
  • Final deletion approved by Data Protection Officer (DPO)

6. Use of Your Information

  • Cloud services, content moderation, marketing support
  • Payment processing and analytics
  • Advertising and performance tracking
  • Corporate group affiliates
  • Law enforcement and legal obligations

7. Public Profiles

Public content is visible and shareable. Platinum users may opt for private settings.

8. Business Transfers

Your data may be transferred in mergers, sales, or acquisitions of Shabyar.

9. International Transfers

Data may be transferred or stored in Australia, subject to applicable protections.

10. Consent

  • Using Shabyar means you consent to this policy
  • You can withdraw consent by contacting our DPO

11. Access and Correction

  • Update your data via the app or by contacting us
  • Some requests may incur administrative fees
  • Request data deletion through a formal request

12. Minors

Shabyar is not intended for users under 18. Guardians are responsible for monitoring access.

13. Do-Not-Call (DNC)

We respect DNC lists and provide opt-out options for communications.

14. Data Security

  • Use of encryption, access control, and firewalls
  • Authorized staff only can access personal data
  • Retention period aligns with service and legal needs

15. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by Australia law. Unresolved disputes will be settled in Australia courts.

16. Account Deletion

Users can delete their account directly in the app by going to: Settings > Delete Account.

When an account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Profile information
  • Photos
  • Messages and chat history

Some data may be retained for legal or security purposes for a limited period, after which it will be permanently deleted.

If you are unable to access the app, you can contact us at admin@shabyar.com to request account deletion.
